Calendar how-tos
How to Subscribe to an Internet Calendar in Outlook
To subscribe to a calendar link in Outlook, go to the calendar, click Add calendar, choose Subscribe from web, paste the address ending in .ics, name it and click Import. It then updates by itself, and it stays read-only.
Step by step
- Copy the address of the calendar.
- Go to the calendar in Outlook and click Add calendar.
- Choose Subscribe from web.
- Paste the address and give the calendar a name and a color.
- Click Import.
Good to know
- Microsoft says updates come about every 3 to 6 hours, and can take more than a day.
- It only works with an address, not with a file you have downloaded. For a file, use import.
