Cutline + Apple Calendar
Add your Cutline week to Apple Calendar in one tap, and it updates on your iPhone, iPad and Mac by itself. To see your iCloud calendars inside Cutline, share them as a public calendar and paste the link. Both directions are free on every plan.
Your Cutline week on iPhone and Mac
In Cutline, open Settings → Calendars and tap Add to Apple Calendar. Your iPhone or Mac asks to subscribe; say yes. Your blocks show as a calendar called Cutline, next to everything else in Apple Calendar, and Apple refreshes it on its own schedule.
This is the easiest way to see your plan in widgets and on your lock screen, while you plan and tick blocks off in Cutline.
iCloud calendars in Cutline
Apple does not let other apps sign in to iCloud Calendar, so every calendar app that is not Apple's uses a shared link. On iPhone:
- Open Calendar, tap Calendars, then the (i) next to the iCloud calendar.
- Turn on Public Calendar and tap Share Link…, then copy it.
- In Cutline, open Settings → Calendars → Apple Calendar, paste the link and press Bring it in.
On a Mac: right-click the calendar in the sidebar, choose Share Calendar, tick Public Calendar and copy the address.
Questions
Does it work on iPad and Mac too?
Yes. A subscription added on one device syncs through iCloud to your other Apple devices.
How fast do changes show up?
Apple Calendar refreshes subscribed calendars on a schedule; on a Mac you can choose how often, from every 5 minutes to once a week. Changes from Cutline appear at the next refresh.
Is there a Cutline app for iPhone?
Cutline runs in Safari and any phone browser, and you can add it to your home screen. Subscribing in Apple Calendar puts your week in the native calendar as well.
