Cutline vs Google Calendar
Google Calendar is the best place for meetings, invitations and shared schedules. Cutline is built for the hours between meetings: you time block your own week, tick blocks off when they are done, and earn XP, cleared days and a place on a weekly board for the work you finished.

What Google Calendar does well
Google Calendar is free with a Google account, works everywhere (web, Android, iPhone), and is the standard for scheduling with other people: invitations, shared calendars, room booking, video links and tight integration with Gmail. If your week is mostly meetings set by others, it does that job very well.
What Cutline does differently
- Done is a state. Every block can be ticked. Your calendar shows what happened, not only what was planned.
- The score is honest. XP comes from finished time only (10 XP per 15 minutes), plus 100 XP for a day where every block is done.
- Your week has a shape. Each week shows finished hours by category: deep work, gym, sales, content, learning.
- Other people keep you going. Post your week on the Floor, join the weekly Arena board, and invite friends with your personal link.
Using both
Many people keep Google Calendar for meetings and use Cutline for the time they control. Link the two in Settings → Calendars: your Google meetings show in the Cutline Grid as read-only blocks you plan around, and your Cutline blocks show in Google Calendar as a calendar called Cutline. How to link them.
Try Cutline next to what you use now
Planning, XP, streaks and the Arena are free. Plan next week in Cutline, keep Google Calendar for what it is good at, and compare on Sunday how many of your planned hours you finished.
