How to Import an ICS File Into Google Calendar
To import an .ics file into Google Calendar, open Settings, choose Import & export, select the file, pick which calendar it goes into and click Import. It must be done on a computer, and the events are copied once and do not update.
Step by step
- Open calendar.google.com on a computer and click the gear, then Settings.
- In the left column, click Import & export.
- Click Select file from your computer and choose the file.
- Under Add to calendar, pick where the events should land.
- Click Import.
Good to know
- Import into a new, empty calendar when you can. If it goes wrong, you delete that one calendar and nothing else.
- An imported file is a copy. To follow changes, subscribe to it by link instead.
- Google accepts .ics and .csv files here.
