How to Export Your Google Calendar to a File
To export Google Calendar, open Settings, choose Import & export and click Export. You get a zip file with one .ics file per calendar, which any other calendar app can import.
Step by step
- Open calendar.google.com on a computer and click the gear, then Settings.
- In the left column, click Import & export.
- Under Export, click Export.
- Open the zip file you get. There is one .ics file per calendar.
Good to know
- To export a single calendar, open its Settings and sharing page and use Export calendar.
- You can only export calendars you own or can manage.
- This is a good yearly backup: it takes one minute.
