Calendar how-tos
How to Add Holidays to Your Outlook Calendar
To add holidays to Outlook, click Add calendar and choose Holidays in new Outlook and on the web, or use File, Options, Calendar, Add Holidays in classic Outlook for Windows. Outlook for Mac has no such option, so use a holiday calendar file there.
Step by step
- New Outlook and web: go to the calendar, click Add calendar, choose Holidays and tick your country.
- Classic Outlook for Windows: click File, Options, Calendar.
- Under Calendar options, click Add Holidays, tick your country and click OK.
- Outlook for Mac: import a holiday file from our public holidays list.
Good to know
- In classic Outlook, holidays are added as events to your own calendar.
- Added by mistake? In classic Outlook, sort by category in list view and delete the group of holidays.
