How to Remove Calendar Spam and Virus Warnings on iPhone
To remove calendar spam on iPhone, open the Calendar app, tap Calendars, tap the info button next to the calendar you do not recognize and choose Delete Calendar or Unsubscribe. For a single event from a stranger, open it and report it as junk.
Step by step
- Open the Calendar app and tap Calendars.
- Look for a calendar you did not add, often under Subscribed.
- Tap the info button next to it.
- Scroll down and tap Delete Calendar or Unsubscribe.
- For a single event, open it and choose Report Junk if it is offered, or Delete Event.
Good to know
- Do not tap the links in these events. The virus warnings are fake and try to sell you something.
- Spam calendars usually arrive through a tap on a pop-up on a website.
