Why it works
- Writing first gets words down before the day interrupts.
- Editing separately keeps drafting from turning into rewriting.
- A weekly pitch block makes sure the writing finds readers.
Make it yours
- Count words instead of hours? Put the target in the block title, e.g. "Write · 800 words".
- Weekend writer? Move the main block to Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Questions
How much should a writer write per day?
Many professional writers aim for a fixed time or word count daily; what matters is that it is the same every day.
