# Cutline + Outlook

Link Outlook to Cutline and your Outlook or Microsoft 365 meetings appear in your Cutline week as read-only blocks. Your Cutline blocks can show in Outlook too, as a calendar called Cutline. It works with Outlook.com and with work accounts on Microsoft 365, and is free on every plan.

## What you get
- **Work meetings in your Grid,** next to the blocks you plan for yourself.
- **Your blocks in Outlook,** as their own calendar you can show or hide.
- **A clean score.** Meetings from Outlook never earn XP; only blocks you finish in Cutline do.

## Bring Outlook into Cutline
1. In Outlook on the web, open **Settings → Calendar → Shared calendars**.
2. Under **Publish a calendar**, choose the calendar and **Can view all details**, then **Publish**.
3. Copy the **ICS** link.
4. In Cutline, open **Settings → Calendars → Outlook**, paste it and press **Bring it in**.

On a work account the publish option can be switched off by your company. If it is missing, ask your IT team whether calendar publishing is allowed, or link a personal calendar instead.

## The other way: your Cutline week in Outlook
In Cutline, open **Settings → Calendars** and press **Add to Outlook**. Outlook subscribes to a private address that holds your blocks, and adds them as a separate calendar called Cutline. You keep planning in Cutline; Outlook shows the result next to your meetings. Outlook refreshes subscribed calendars every few hours.

That address is private: anyone who has it can see the titles of your blocks. If it ever leaks, make a new one in the same place and the old one stops working.

## A week with meetings and focus time
Most people who live in Outlook have their mornings eaten by meetings. With the meetings visible in Cutline, look for the longest free stretch each day and put your most important work there, then tick it off. The [deep work schedule guide](https://gocutline.com/guides/deep-work-schedule/) shows how to defend it.

## Questions

**Does this work with Microsoft 365 work accounts?**
Yes, as long as your organisation allows publishing calendars. If the option is missing in Outlook settings, your IT team has switched it off.

**Can I sign in with Microsoft instead?**
We are adding sign-in with Microsoft. Until it is switched on, the published ICS link does the same job.

**Will people see my Cutline blocks in Outlook?**
Only if you subscribe to your Cutline calendar in your own Outlook and share that calendar. Cutline never shares anything by itself.
