# How to Create a Recurring Event in Google Calendar

To make an event repeat in Google Calendar, open the event, click Does not repeat under the date and choose a pattern, or Custom for something like every second Tuesday. Then save it.

## Step by step
1. Create a new event, or open one and click the pencil.
2. Under the date, click **Does not repeat**.
3. Pick a pattern, or **Custom** to choose your own.
4. In **Custom**, set how often, which days and when it ends.
5. Click **Save**.

## Good to know
- When you edit one later, Google asks if the change is for **This event**, **This and following events** or **All events**.
- Give a repeating block an end date, so it does not fill your calendar for years.
