URL: https://gocutline.com/how-to/google-calendar-notifications/

To change Google Calendar notifications, open Settings, pick the calendar under Settings for my calendars and edit Event notifications. Each calendar has its own defaults, and one event can have its own reminder too.

## Step by step
1. Open calendar.google.com on a computer and click the gear, then **Settings**.
2. In the left column, under **Settings for my calendars**, click the calendar.
3. Go to **Event notifications** and change or add a reminder.
4. For one event only, open it, click the pencil and change it there.

## Good to know
- **Notification settings** in the general settings decides between desktop notifications and alerts.
- Too many reminders teach you to ignore them. One reminder 10 minutes before an event is usually enough.
