To add holidays to Google Calendar, open Settings, choose Browse calendars of interest under Add calendar, and tick the holiday calendar for your country. It updates by itself, and you can add as many countries as you like.

## Step by step
1. Open calendar.google.com on a computer and click the gear, then **Settings**.
2. In the left column, open **Add calendar** and choose **Browse calendars of interest**.
3. Under **Regional holidays**, tick your country.
4. Go back to your calendar. The holidays show as a separate calendar you can hide at any time.

## Good to know
- Add a second country if you work with people abroad.
- Holiday calendars from Google can include observances that are not days off. Our [public holidays lists](https://gocutline.com/holidays/) show only national public holidays, with a file for each country.

## Questions

**Why do I see days that are not days off?**
Google's holiday calendars can include observances. You can choose a holidays-only view in the calendar's settings where your country offers it.
