# Redeem a code

URL: https://gocutline.com/help/redeem-a-code/

To redeem a code, open it from the link you were sent, or go to Settings, Crew and team and choose Redeem a code. Each code works once.

## Two ways
- **The link:** open the link you were sent, sign in, and the code fills in by itself.
- **By hand:** open **Settings**, choose **Crew and team**, then **Redeem a code**, and type the code.

## Crew codes
A crew code puts you on someone's Crew plan. You get the yellow Crew seal and everything in Crew for as long as their plan runs. [More about crews](https://gocutline.com/help/crew-seats/).

## It did not work
Check for typos, and ask whoever gave it to you whether it has been used. A code works once, and an owner can replace one.
