# Is there a leaderboard for productivity with friends?

URL: https://gocutline.com/answers/weekly-productivity-leaderboard/

Yes. Cutline has the Arena, an opt-in weekly leaderboard of finished hours: everyone who joins is ranked by the hours of planned blocks they finished that week, and the board resets every Monday. Only totals show, never the titles of your blocks.

## How the Arena works
1. Plan your week in Cutline and tick blocks off as you finish them.
2. Join the Arena once. Your finished hours count from then on.
3. The board ranks this week's finished hours and resets on Monday, so a new week is a new race.

Invite friends with your link and you see each other on the board. Teams on Crew can compare as a group.

## Why a weekly board
A week is short enough to stay motivating and long enough to be fair: a missed Tuesday can be made up on Thursday. Resetting every Monday also uses the fresh start effect (Dai, Milkman and Riis, 2014): a new week feels like a clean slate.

## Privacy
Your own calendar is private. The Arena shows your @name and your total finished hours for the week, nothing else.

## Questions

**Can I leave the Arena?**
Yes, at any time in Settings. Your calendar is unaffected.

**Does the Arena cost anything?**
No. It is free on every plan.
