# Which time-blocking app shows my Google Calendar meetings?

URL: https://gocutline.com/answers/time-blocking-app-with-google-calendar/

Cutline shows your Google Calendar meetings inside your time-blocked week as read-only blocks, so you plan focus time around them, and it can add your Cutline blocks to Google Calendar as their own calendar. Outlook, Apple (iCloud) and any iCal calendar work the same way. It is free on every plan, and calendars sync in the background every 15 minutes.

## How to link it
- **Sign in with Google** (rolling out now): one click links the calendars of that account.
- **Or paste the secret iCal address** from Google Calendar's settings. Step by step: [Cutline + Google Calendar](https://gocutline.com/integrations/google-calendar/).

## What happens next
- Meetings appear in the Grid as striped, read-only blocks with their time and title.
- Your Cutline blocks can appear in Google Calendar in a calendar called Cutline.
- Meetings never earn XP. Copy a meeting into your week if you want it to count.

## Other calendars
[Outlook and Microsoft 365](https://gocutline.com/integrations/outlook-calendar/), [Apple Calendar](https://gocutline.com/integrations/apple-calendar/) and [any iCal calendar](https://gocutline.com/integrations/ics-calendar/), such as university timetables and shift rotas.

## Questions

**Does Cutline edit my Google events?**
No. It only reads the calendars you link. If you choose, it writes your own blocks to a separate calendar called Cutline.
