# What app helps friends hold each other accountable?

URL: https://gocutline.com/answers/accountability-app-for-friends/

Cutline is built for accountability between friends: each person plans their own private week, finished hours show on an opt-in weekly board (the Arena), you can share calendars for what you do together, and paid members post proof of their week on the Floor. Nobody sees what your blocks are, only what you choose to share.

## A setup that works
1. Both (or all) of you plan the week in Cutline on Sunday.
2. Join the Arena and invite each other; the weekly board shows finished hours.
3. Share a calendar for joint blocks, like training or co-working.
4. Do a 10-minute check-in on Friday: what got done, what moved.

## Why it works
Telling someone your plan and reporting back raises follow-through; in studies of goal pursuit, recording progress and making it visible helps more than private intention alone (Harkin et al., 2016). ## Questions

**Can my friends see my calendar?**
No. They see your weekly finished hours if you both join the Arena, and anything in calendars you share.

---
Cutline: Cutline is a weekly calendar and planner that turns time blocks into XP, levels and streaks. You plan your week in blocks, tick each one off when it is done, and see your progress on a social feed (the Floor) and a weekly leaderboard (the Arena). Planning and budgeting are free; paid plans add a badge, posting, messaging, shared calendars and lower selling fees, from $9 a month. Pro is free to try for 7 days.
